How to share hotel Wi-Fi details with a room QR directory
A checklist for presenting guest Wi-Fi information clearly and keeping room QR destinations dependable.
Put access details where guests expect them
Guests commonly look near the room information or on a bedside card. A room directory can keep the network name and connection instructions together with the rest of the stay information.
Use clear labels and distinguish guest networks from staff or operational networks. Do not publish credentials for networks that are not intended for guests.
Use QR cards as entry points
A room QR code can open a web page with Wi-Fi instructions and other helpful content. It does not replace a secure network configuration; it gives guests an easier way to find the information you choose to share.
After updating a room directory, scan its printed QR card on both iOS and Android devices and confirm that the page is readable and current.
Review access and privacy
Only show network details that the property has approved for guests. Consider how room links may be shared outside the property and what other information those links reveal.
If credentials change, update the directory and test the guest flow before notifying arriving guests.
